Expertise in recognition of the dog’s emotions allows the owner to properly respond to its bad behavior, preventing the outburst of anger and a possible attack. For this reason, we attempt to characterize aggressive behaviors in dogs and the underlying neurobiological factors and genetic predisposition to aggression, and we also address some preventive measures and possible consequences of the aggressive behavior to the environment.
